Levante star Karl Etta Eyong now reportedly dreams of playing for Chelsea and following in the footsteps of Didier Drogba in a major boost for BlueCo.
The Blues are slowly but surely kicking on in the Premier League under Enzo Maresca and bounced back from their midweek draw against Qarabag to thrash Wolverhampton Wanderers at Stamford Bridge. Goals from Malo Gusto, Joao Pedro and Pedro Neto were enough for those in West London, who stretched their current unbeaten run to four games.
Maresca was pleased with his side’s comfortable victory, telling reporters: “We are happy with the performance. I was very worried before the game because these are always tricky matches, but in the first half and second half, we created so many chances and didn’t concede anything.
“Even in the first half, I was happy with the performance, and the difference between the first and second halves is that in the second we scored goals and in the first we missed many chances.
“You need to be clinical, otherwise the game is always open and anything can happen. In the second half, we scored three goals, could’ve scored more.”
Entering the international break in style, those in West London could now take the next two weeks to think about potential January incomings. It’s a rare day when BlueCo aren’t thinking about the transfer window and potential targets are already emerging ahead of 2026.
The likes of Adam Wharton have been mentioned in the last week, with reports claiming that Chelsea are “actively in talks” over signing the Crystal Palace midfielder. If those reports are to be believed, then the Blues are certainly on the right track. Wharton remains one of the most impressive young midfielders in the Premier League.
Elsewhere, meanwhile, Etta Eyong has revealed his Chelsea “dream” in a key boost for BlueCo in their pursuit of the Levante star.
Etta Eyong reveals Chelsea "dream"
Speaking to GiveMeSport’s Ben Jacobs, Etta Eyong shared that he dreams of playing for Chelsea, who have been racing Manchester United and others to secure his signature. The impressive forward has scored six goals in 12 games so far this season and now wants to follow in the footsteps of Drogba and co. at Stamford Bridge.
At just 22 years old, Etta Eyong very much represents the type of signing that Chelsea have been making in recent years. It wasn’t so long ago that the Blues were welcoming Nicolas Jackson from Villarreal and, although that hasn’t worked out, they could make up for that mistake for another in-form La Liga star in 2026.
