The January transfer window is a touchy subject for West Ham United fans at the moment.
Indeed, many expected some serious quality to arrive last month, but they were left underwhelmed when the window ended with Jordan Hugill arriving from Championship side Preston North End.
Michail Antonio has been speaking about West Ham’s January business, and the 27-year-old attacker paid tribute to Hugill and indeed Joao Mario, who arrived on loan from Inter Milan.
Antonio’s interview was posted on West Ham’s Twitter account on Tuesday afternoon, and it would be fair to say that the Englishman’s comments have not gone down too well with the fanbase.
Indeed, the club’s supporters feel that Antonio must be winding them up when considering the touchy nature of the subject at this moment in time.
There is no question that the West Ham fans are behind the team, but the same cannot be said for the board, who continue to receive abuse on social media.
