Leeds United are still interested in signing Club Brugge star Noa Lang in January but there is competition for his signature, according to reports from Belgium.
The Lowdown: Lang on Leeds’ radar
The Dutchman is a highly-rated young player who has excelled for Brugge for some time, scoring 31 goals and chipping in with 29 assists in 102 appearances.
Leeds have been linked with a move for Lang numerous times in recent months as Jesse Marsch looks to make attacking reinforcements in January.
It is a rumour which is refusing to go away, and a fresh update has now emerged.
The Latest: January move still possible
According to Belgian outlet Voetbal Nieuws [via Sport Witness], Leeds, West Ham and Monaco are all keen on acquiring Lang’s signature next month, with the player himself wanting to ‘take the next step’ in his career.
Brugge are ‘doing everything’ they can to keep hold of arguably their most prized asset, whose current deal expires in 2025.

The Verdict: Sprinkling of attacking magic
There is perhaps a feeling that Lang may have outgrown Brugge at this point, with his performances this season actually not the best, having scored just two goals in the Jupiler Pro League during an injury-affected campaign.
He seemingly wants to find a new challenge and Leeds could be perfect for him, considering that the Whites are in pursuit of attacking targets, with the 23-year-old capable of thriving through the middle and on the left-hand side.
Lang’s rebellious nature is well-documented but he possesses a healthy self-confidence which can be effective in a footballer, with his former Netherlands boss Louis van Gaal describing him as a ‘creative’ footballer.
